While We find our true comfort in our Lord Jesus Christ, from the world and any  of  the pollution, I do believe he gives us wisdom to make healthier choices for our families. In our town we have had extended periods where the water would come up discolored from the tap, so we needed a good water filter that was small and affordable. That’s where the PUR water filter comes in.

There are many types of water filter systems and many different brands. In the past, I’ve used the Brita water filter (pitcher style) and I’ve used this faucet attachment water filter from PUR for just over three years now.

This is my personal experience with the PUR water Filter faucet system.

Southern Indiana is known to have hard water and that’s exactly what we got!

Our water company has done system flushes in the local town to help with certain pipe issues. It is supposed to be for the greater good, however it does  cause sediment and who knows what come up in our pipes during the time period they are running their system flush. 😳

So since we moved here we have always filtered our water for drinking and cooking.

This water filter has been great to reduce counter clutter, and runs on demand

I’ve used pitcher style water filters before and while they do work, they do take a bit of time to filter through the water and be ready to use, once they are filled.

If you are looking for an affordable water filter option the PUR water filter faucet attachment we have personally used, might be just the one for you!

Taste the difference in Quality

What’s crazy is you can really TASTE  the difference between the filtered and unfiltered water.

Which does give proof to the fact that the filter really does work!

We replace the filter about once a month or so

Once the filter is reaching its end the water (where we live) tastes not as fresh and kind of has a hint of metallic. When the water filter is newly changed, it is clear that the water tastes fresher and it’s just so good.

The PUR water filter system is made to enhance the quality of water from the tap, for cleaner fresher tasting water. You can find it here.

Because I found a really good price, I use the off brand filters called Aqua Crest, which are compatible with the PUR filter faucet system. You can buy them here.

Three reasons to try the PUR Filter water filter

  • Affordability
  • Compact
  • Runs on demand

Affordable: When I say this filter is affordable, it costs less than $30 on Amazon last time I checked. They do range in price.
And you can currently buy 6 Aqua Crest brand filters for less than $40, Which lasts our family 6 months.

Compact: Attach this small but mighty water filter, easily to your kitchen faucet. No bulky container on your counter or in the fridge.

Runs on Demand: no need to wait for water to filter through for very long before you can use it. Turn it on after innitial install and have filtered water in seconds.

Bonus: Easy to install. Be sure that you have a compatible faucet. You may need to buy an adapter to attache the faucet system.

Tip: Try storing an adjustable wrench nearby or under the sink to make sure the adapter is taught just enough.
