You might say how one earth am I going to get homemade cookies out any faster?
well in all reality, mixing the dough will be the same but did you ever think there might be a better way than to scoop each cookie individually? This post is bringing you my favorite hack for quick homemade cookies.

A genius homemade cookie hack : backstory


recently I was making cookies and thought to myself, why do I need to bake this whole batch of 35-40 cookies when I could freeze the rest of the dough and make it later?
well.. I proceeded to put the rest of the dough into a large ziplock bag and pressed the dough flat so that it was about 1/2 inch thick.
when I put it in the freezer I didn’t realize quite how easy it would be and how excited I’d be to “discover” this new method of quick homemade cookies without all the mixing at the time of baking . Wallahhh!
All you need to do is break off the size chunks of dough you want and place it on your cookie sheet.

optionally you could press lines in the dough with a spatula or butter knife through the the bag, before fully frozen to have a cleaner cut.

Bake cookies for approximately the same time according to the recipe. Just be sure to watch them and adjust the time accordingly.

My family loves a warm cookie that just has golden edges, so if you like a gooey, chewy or crunchy toasted cookie, tweak the bake time for your preference.

Quick homemade cookies hack

Materials

  • 1 batch Cookie dough
  • 1-2 zip lock bags

Instructions

  • Add dough to zip lock bags till about 1/3 to 1/2 full.
  • Press dough flat through ziplock bag Till about 1/2 inch thick, evenly.
  • Press out any air, and seal bag(s) shut
  • Write date, type of cookie dough, and baking instructions on bag.
  • Freeze for up to three (3) months.
  • When ready to bake, break off desired amount of dough, in chunks and place on cookie sheet. Bake according to recipe directions. Time may vary due to dough being frozen.
    (Our cookie recipe bakes nicely in about 7-9 minutes from frozen at 375 degrees Fahrenheit)
