Little boy being adventurous in feild

If you are coming to this page to literally find the answer that will help you to get it all done with a toddler, I mean E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G Done ✅with a toddler, then, in reality you have come to the wrong place. BUT, don’t leave. I still have something I think will help you. First off, I can totally relate. I am currently there myself. I Mean if you have the answer yourself than by all means please do share. 😆

To be completely honest, there are many tasks around the household that with a toddler, can just seem daunting at times. (Ok- yes, some of them are daunting anyway, I totally agree)

One of those things, is what we’ll be talking about today.

The refrigerator. Judge me now or forever hold your peace. Yes, cleaning the refrigerator.Would I want to face any food I let go to waste and acknowledge it by throwing it way,Much less smell any of the odd odors that may pertrude from the container or trash can…?

I’d really rather not 😂

Don’t get me started on meal planning (I really want to be successful, so I’m figuring that one out better right now.)

It was amazing to me

We had been outside but needed to come in. I asked Gabriel if he wanted to help mommy clean the refrigerator, he said “I do”. pleasantly, to my surprise, he did a wonderful job.

I tend to procrastinate on things that seem difficult (like cleaning out the fridge) but it really is so doable and not nearly as challenging as it can seem when it is staring at you on your to-do list, even with a toddler!

He is technically 27 months or two years three months, so I am sure he still has plenty of toddler phases ahead of him.
However, it is getting easier (there’s light at the end of the wonderful yet challenging tunnel! 😆)

here are a couple ideas to give you some inspiration:

  • If you have tasks to complete online or otherwise on a laptop or tablet, going outside where it is easy to watch them, they’ll have fun and you’ll be able to get a couple things rechecked off your list. (I Currently have a small fence in the back, so this works out great.)
  • grocery pickup – although I don’t do this super often, it can make things quite a bit easier with really little kids.
  • Giving you kid(s) a portion or something similar to what you have. They want to be and do like you, after all isn’t that flattering? 😊

take heart and know the struggle will not be forever, but for the time being, try including the little ones where you can safely do so. When they have the opportunity to be “helpful” without being told “no” constantly they thrive. And when you slow down just a little bit, I’ve realized you have a whole lot of fun yourself. 🥰

So whatever project you have waiting to be accomplished, I challenge you to just start. Even if you are not able to finish in one go, you will have done something toward your end goal. And more than likely you will get more done, just by the pure motivation that getting started invokes.

I hope this post encouraged you to get going on any little to-do items that you have been putting off for another day or when your toddler is somehow better occupied.

What is the top task that is challenging for you to get to with your sweet toddler in tow?

Are there any specific strategies you use to accomplish projects around the home?

Let me know in the comments below.

All the best,

Lori
