Barbecue glazed chicken thighs recipe

This barbecue glazed chicken thighs recipe is so tasty and there isn’t much fuss to it. Pop the thighs in your pan sprinkle the seasonings and put them in the oven. Not much more to it than that. Ok, maybe just a tiny bit more but read on and you will see just how easy these tender thighs are to make.

Kitchenware to make Barbecue glazed chicken thighs in the oven

9×13 pan

Small mixing bowl and whisk

Basting brush

How to make barbecue glazed chicken thighs in the oven

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

In a small bowl whisk all the dry seasonings together.

I take the thawed chicken thighs straight from the refrigerator. If you let them sit on the counter much, you may want to adjust bake time a little.

Evenly coat each side of chicken thigh with seasoning mix and then place them in your 9×13 baking dish.

I love my Pyrex Pans for this!

Once the chicken thighs are seasoned and the oven is heated to 375 degrees F, bake for 45 minutes.

Turn your oven up to 400 degrees F and bake for another 15 minutes.

Take chicken thighs out of the oven and then brush them with your choice of barbecue sauce. Return to oven for an additional 5 minutes.

Let the chicken thighs set for 5 minutes or so and then serve.

Check with a meat thermometer to be sure poultry reaches 165 degrees F for food safety

A few notes:

we used bone in, skin on chicken thighs. If you are using boneless chicken thighs, you may want to slightly adjust the bake time.

I have not tested these thighs on the grill YET – however once I have, I’ll definitely update this recipe with grill time and any other details.
